My interview with SB Overseas on international development & women’s rights
04 December 2018
Some of you may remember the charity SB Overseas who we raised over £9,000 for earlier this year - read here - on International Women’s Day 2018 to help support their work in providing education and literacy skills to Syrian women and children refugees living in Lebanon.
Last month, I sat down with their representatives in Brussels to talk about international development, women’s rights and my role as an MEP. We covered a range of issues, but with a focus on empowering women and girls.
The interview is now published by The Belgium Express online magazine here. It was great to meet Maria - and her colleague Marco - and it was lovely to speak to two young people so passionate about their work in helping Syrian refugees.
