Equal pay for equal work: Ending the undercutting of workers’ wages in Europe

New proposals for the Posting of Workers Directive will mean equal pay for equal work at the same place not only ensuring that posted workers who are sent by an employer to work temporarily in another EU member state are not exploited, but local workers are no longer undercut by unscrupulous employers playing the system. All workers doing the same work at the same place should receive the same pay and the same protections. The S&D Group in the European Parliament, to which Labour is a part of, led the fight for these proposals.
