EU to award 300 million euros to Drax for Europe’s first Carbon Capture and Storage project

The European Commission has announced that the White Rose Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project at Drax power station is the winner of its NER300 competition, awarding it 300 million euros.

EU slashes phone charges for holidaymakers

02 July 2014

Yorkshire and the Humber holidaymakers will be able to check maps, look up tourist attractions and call home for less this summer, with European mobile phone charges slashed from 1st July. The costs of sending texts, making and receiving calls and data roaming are all coming down as the EU looks to abolish data roaming charges completely by 2016 - once agreement has been reached between EU governments.
